In depth

Verdict

A tricky novice hurdle that may fall to Doce Vida, with It's Sunny, Mulligans Fool and Double Deal set to battle it out for the place money. Doce Vida was an impressive winner at Wetherby in January, form that has had it's ups and downs. Following that success he was well down the field in a much better race at Cheltenham and back against this type of opposition should collect. Its Sunny was a close second to Kindle Ball at Southwell in December, but that was moderate form and she needs to improve. Mulligans Fool put up a gallant display last week when third to Fast Mix in a competitive handicap at Plumpton and should be in the shake up. Double Deal was runner up to Geri Roulette at Newcastle last time and so is worthy of respect, however, in what is a trappy race Doce Vida is a tentative selection.
