Alleged Slave is improving with each run and can land this from some disappointing types, the best of which may be Renvyle and Deep Sigh. Alan King's gelding failed to complete on his first two outings this season, but has since run too gallant races in defeat. The first was at Leicester when going down by a length to Sir Talbot and then was just touched off by Adalie at Hereford. With further progression expected Alleged Slave has an excellent chance to get his head in front. Renvyle is a fair hurdler and if taking to the larger obstacles he could go well under top-weight. Deep Sigh could go well at a big price. Connections have always expected him to make a better chaser than hurdler, but he still managed to run some decent races over the smaller barriers, it would be no surprise to see him in the frame. Of the others Mr Club Royal looks fairly treated but on this occasion Alleged Slave looks to hold all the aces.
