Verdict

The Character scrambled home in first-time blinkers here when last seen but is probably better with more give in the ground, though still preferred to stablemates Prince Khurram and The Herds Garden. Outcrop is very consistent but getting no help from the handicapper. Bobndave has also been knocking on the door but ISTIMRAAR will be happy going back over hurdles after finishing third over fences when last seen in May. He’s gone up another 8lb but has been a reformed character since joining Dan Skelton. Phoebus Lescribaa has place claims again while Royal Reserve may have needed his run at Perth in June but has had another break since.
