Diablo De Rouhet bolted up at Perth in June on only his second start over fences. He’s only six so there should be more improvement forthcoming but this is a decent handicap and he would have preferred easier ground. Value At Risk and Gone Platinum are better over shorter trips but Viens Chercher stays further and arrives in good form. STEEL WAVE has been racing over shorter trips since recoding a course and distance double earlier this summer. He’s still on a fair mark on the pick of his form and should give a good account. Aubusson is not out of this either but Belmount and Double Treasure are both out of sorts at present.
