Fethard Player acts on any going though he's been in excellent form on good ground in recent weeks. He went up a massive 13lb for his victory here and his rider had no chance of staying in the saddle when badly impeded at Killarney. The soft going went against Coldstonesober at Tipperary on Sunday and he makes a quick reappearance in much more suitable conditions but Magical Moon can't get his head in front and has now had a total of 25 runs without winning. Potential punters may want to wait to see if Pennys Tune consents to start this time as if she does than she has an obvious chance though not for the first time she cocked her jaw and refused to race at Sligo. Whatever It Takes has dropped to a mark he is capable of winning from and should get into the frame but I C GOLD will take some beating. A poor maiden last season, she won a point-to-point while in the care of Grainne O'Connor in May and was an impressive winner of an admittedly poor handicap at Downpatrick a week ago when transferred to Gordon Elliott. She's up 9lb but is still on a very attractive mark so should complete a hat-trick.
