Authorizo beat a subsequent winner in a Fairyhouse maiden at the start of the year but his form since has left much to be desired. Cork winner Smiling Eliza ran at Galway but fell at the first and is hard to predict. Coral Blue was another early casualty last time, at Sligo, but had been going well before that. Zoffalee won here in may before finishing second at Downpatrick. He made no impression in the Ladies Derby at the Curragh last month but this is far less competitive. After rattling up a four-timer on the Flat in the UK, LEVER DU SOLEIL ran a fine race behind Lucky Icon back over hurdles at Galway and can defy his big weight.
