Verdict

Georges Conn defied his stable's poor run of form and an absence of almost two years when slamming his rivals over 2m1f on testing ground here three weeks ago. A mark of 116 is by no means lenient but he looks useful and will make a bold bid to defy his burden. But CRYSTAL EARTH (NAP) looks the one to be on after another excellent run at Galway when staying on over the minimum trip behind Lilly The Lioness with Blackandamber Vic behind. She's been raised 4lb and has an extra half-mile to travel but looks to have plenty in her favour. Afatcat also finished runner-up at Galway and is on an 18lb lower mark than over fences so he has an obvious chance as that was his best run for a very long time.
