Verdict

BUSTAM, an expensive purchase, started favourite in his two opening runs and wasn't beaten far in either before heading to Royal Ascot where he was outclassed though not disgraced. He led for a long way in a Newmarket maiden last time and should finally get off the mark. Cosa Nostra made an encouraging debut at Nottingham and looked certain to appreciate this trip when staying on over 6f here next time so looks a real threat. New Show cost 90,000gns being by New Approach out of the high-class Group 1 winner Music Show. He could well turn out to be better than these so has to be noted in the market. The remaining pair will need to find much more to get involved.
