In depth

Verdict

Plenty of these have won here including Perfect Words, whose recent victory came in an amateurs' handicap from 3lb lower. Dutch Dream has become a Hamilton specialist having gained all three of her victories there but Star Cracker scored on soft ground here a year ago and is 9lb lower due to a run of poor performances. Cheeni has a penalty to carry for her victory over 6f here last week, her first in 19 starts. She had generally been performing well at a similar level previously and should make a bold bid to defy the extra. However, the runner-up that day was GONINODAETHAT, who attempted to make all and was only caught in the dying strides. Jim Goldie's veteran has never won over the minimum but doesn't lack pace and can reverse the form and score for the ninth time.
