In depth

Verdict

This is a big drop in class for Lexington Spirit as Richard Fahey's filly was running in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot last year. However, two inauspicious runs this season mean that we look elsewhere. Alan Berry's ECONOMIC CRISIS has looked a progressive sort this term and there could be more to come. The daughter of Excellent Art showed plenty of resolution when posting back-to-back successes at Hamilton, and she can defy the extra 4lb that the handicapper has allotted for her latest success. One Kool Dude is Michael Bell's only runner at the meeting and it is presumed that he's been sent up from Newmarket in the hope that plenty of rain arrives. Decision By One went close at Doncaster last week and Tom Dascombe's colt is sure to give another good account off the same mark.
