      Verdict

      Winning form has been hard to muster amongst these runners and with a C&D win to his name; DARING DREAM is almost a default selection. The seven-year-old actually ran a fair race behind Fieldgunner Kirkup at Newcastle last month, and with proven form over the trip, he has more positives than most. Tajneed has had some big paydays in the past and the Ripon specialist scrambled home at that track in June in a similar contest. He was well held when returning to handicaps and might just be vulnerable over the longer trip. Polar Annie won three races for Malcolm Saunders last season and the handicapper has made life very difficult for her as a consequence. Fishforcompliments returns from an absence but Pravda Street was seventh in the Victoria Cup at Ascot off a mark of 86, and he would be a big threat to all if any significant rainfall arrived.
