      Verdict

SIR DERRICK led until well inside the final furlong last week at Redcar. That was his best run to date and, as this track is better suited to front-runners, Tim Easterby’s charge can maintain his advantage all the way to the line today. Pop Telecom is improving with experience and appeared to handle the step up to 7f last time at Catterick. Acadian Angel may prove then pick of the older horses as she’s been hinting at a revival lately and is now 12lb lower than her last winning mark. Pudding Chare won over 1m1f here in May but this looks on the short side nowadays.
