In depth

Verdict

Only three runners but an interesting event. All three are closely matched on official ratings. Pentecost came from a long way back at Sandown last time and should fare better today. Of course, races of this nature can be badly affected by lack of early pace. Lascombes was quite highly tried last year, has failed to sparkle so far this term but could well appreciate easier going. Anna Walhaan ran respectably in a first-time visor in a falsely-run race at Thirsk last time and holds a chance also.
