Vanadim may have the class to take this ahead of Trojan Flight, Holiday Cocktail and Balakiref. Vanadium has failed to live up to expectations in the main, at one time having been considered a serious contender for the St James's Palace Stakes, but James Given's colt definitely has the class to land a few decent contests at trips just short of a mile. The drop back to six furlongs seemed to suit him at Haydock last time as he chased home Johnston's Diamond, and off his current mark he can pay to support. Trojan Flight is ahold-up performer who needs things to fall right for him. He stayed on from the back as usual at Doncaster and will again be coming late on the scene. Holiday Cocktail has bottom weight and comes from a stable that likes a tilt at the ring. If this one is supported, take notice. Balakiref disappointed at York on his last start but is well handicapped and so is another to note, but Vanadium has take on better company in the past and sets the standard.
