In depth

Verdict

Dual bumper winner UNCLE ALASTAIR may well be unbeaten but for falling on his hurdling bow here when travelling strongly. He made amends with a smooth victory at Carlisle and with, both trip and going to his liking, can score again. Ask The Tycoon won a point in the summer and a bumper here on his debut under Rules before a fair effort over a trip too short on his hurdling bow at Newcastle. He's only four and looks capable of a big run while Donna's Delight ploughed through the Carlisle mud to land a novices' hurdle before finding 2m6f taxing her stamina in a better race at Newcastle.
