        Verdict

        Frank Crow gets the vote here ahead of Prince Evelith and Avoriaz. Alan Swinbank's gelding, Prince Evelith, steps up in trip again having tried this trip once before. However he is in better form now and as long as the ground doesn't deteriorate any further, he looks capable of a place as long as his stamina holds out. Frank Crow drops in trip again however and gets the vote. A winner here at Ayr before, Jim Goldie's gelding will appreciate any juice in the ground and he can win again. Sedgwick is consistent but let down favourite backers last time out, whilst Inside Story is another with place claims. Rodeo and Avoriaz both return from lengthy breaks and the last-named looks the best of those. Richard Fahey's charge showed a decent level of form last year without winning but if he is fit then he should go close. However we have no qualms in returning to Frank Crow as the selection.
