Royal Indulgence gets the vote in this poor handicap ahead of Mandarin Rocket. This race won't take much winning and we will tentatively side with Royal Indulgence for the following reasons; he has winning course form, he is fairly reliable, and he acts well on this ground. He also gets on well with today's jockey Liam Jones who is able to claim a valuable three. Desert Lightning let down favourite backers last time out when stepped up to 12 furlongs but now dropped in trip again, he can be expected to go well. Jordans Spark and Apache Nation have both run good races over course and distance before, whilst Mandarin Rocket looks a danger. He has run well in defeat on his last two outings however the worrying fact is that he is yet to win in ten starts. A poor race, and Royal Indulgence gets the most tentative of nominations.
