        Verdict

        Jim Goldie saddles four in this finale but none of the quartet make much appeal. Richard Fahey has a couple with Paul Hanagan riding the penalised Thirsk winner Eric The Grey, though High Office looks more interesting having tumbled down the weights. Jamie Spencer partners mudlark Memory Cloth for Brian Ellison and he's preferred to stablemate Wyborne, but the trip is a real concern. SIRVINO won over 1m6f at Carlisle 10 days ago, for which he's been raised 6lb. But he's won off this higher mark in the past and Luke McNiff takes off 3lb. It would be no surprise if the gelding were good enough to defy top weight though Cockney Sparrow has the form to figure if back on song. Last year's winner Albert Bridge has been out of sorts this season, however, and hasn't raced since May. Corton Lad is preferred to fellow three-year-old Rutherglen and the luckless Noble Alan of the others.
