The lightly-raced Kalambari put in a spirited effort at Salisbury under topweight and is expected to step up on that effort on this easier ground. He is bred to stay the extra three furlongs here and with the assistance of J P Spencer on his back he is the TEAMtalk selection. Old California has the profile of an improving stayer and showed his liking for a soft surface last time out at Newmarket. He has won after a break but his overall level of form is below what will be needed here. Christmas Truce is the only one in the field to hold a Cesarewitch entry but will need to win this well to be considered for that race. Timing is an admirably consistent handicapper and has already won three times in his short career. He has the assistance of the excellent Dave Allan on his back. Runners at this meeting from Sir Mark Prescott's yard should always be respected and Unleash is no exception. Slightly outclassed last time out in Group company he should appreciate this step back in class and trip. Allinjim cannot be ruled out of calculations running consistently all season including on this type of surface.
