Balwearie is 6lbs higher for a victory over this trip here last month but we take FORREST FLYER to reverse the placings after finishing third in that same race, whilst George Adamson has been consistent this year and could challenge. The pick was just over a length behind Balwearie at this course last month but he won here in June and can avenge his defeat. He has run consistently well this year and will be alongside his main rival in the stalls. Jim Goldie has a 12% strike-rate at Ayr with his older horses and his option in this race could help to improve that tally. Balwearie will be a dangerous opponent and is expected to run well but may not have it all his own way today. Franny Norton retains the ride. George Adamson is tried at this trip for the first time and considering he has been staying on well at the finish recently he is respected. Peter Niven drops Silent Lucidity back in trip and with an eye-catching jockey booking it is worth noting any market support for him in this race. However we side with Forrest Flyer to grab the win.
