In a modest affair, we will side with Platinum Charmer ahead of Rouge Et Noir, Susiedil and, possibly Lennel and Maritime Blues. The selection seems just about the safest option here as she has shown herself good enough to run a sound race from her current mark. Much as Susiedil is now marginally better off for the length and a quarter she finished behind the selection at Musselburgh last time, the longer trip today might suit the selection better. Lennel and Maritime Blues can both be fancied on their best form but neither are proven at this trip on Turf, but Rouge Et Noir might sneak a place despite having been beaten from his revised mark last time. Alghaazy is closely weighted with Rouge Et Noir based on the latter's Carlisle win and Chaka Zulu showed a little more sparkle last time, but has not won since 2002 now. As we say, it's fairly modest stuff, with the vote going to Platinum Charmer.
