Brut can force his head in front here, and gets the call over Ruby's Dream, Almaty Express, Flaxby and Compton Spark. A repeat of his Catterick second to Ashes in April would give Brut solid claims here with his stable in good form, although that run came over five furlongs. However, we will take the chance on six being ok for him. Despite being six pounds higher than for her Leicester win on July 2nd, Ruby's Dream has to be respected. Almaty Express has not been beaten too far in his last two races following ratings rise and, in a modest event, looks set to play his part, while Flaxby is well weighted on Beverley winning April form and he can be given a chance, although recent efforts lack something. Mitchelland seems to have lost his way of late and Gavioli hasn't really built on two runs since a solid Lingfield win. The lightly-raced Compton Spark might get competitive from a good draw, while Thorntoun Piccolo's best run so far in a light career has come here on her only try at today's trip. Waggledance showed a bit more in first time blinkers last time and might improve again, but it is hard to get too revved up about most of the others. This, in turn, returns us to the selection, which is Brut.
