      Verdict

The three-year-old Tamaska was well supported when beaten at Catterick but dropped 3lb in the ratings and gained compensation at Thirsk. He's back up 6lb and faces older horses for the first time but is progressing enough to make his presence felt. Mo Henry is on a very long losing run but has won around here and hasn't been beaten far the last twice on fast going. Corton Lass is 0-33 and rarely races beyond the minimum these days but 15-times winner Major Valentine scored on fast ground at Windsor before a very good run in softer conditions at Chester. THRILLA IN MANILLA had dropped to a lowly mark when a close fourth at Thirsk after attempting to make all. He's up 1lb here but will take some catching.
