In depth

Verdict

It could pay to stick with CENTRAL SQUARE in this. Roger Varian’s charge won a maiden at Windsor before going close in the Class 2 Zetland Gold Cup at Redcar last month and can return to winning ways. Corton Lad won a lower grade handicap at Ripon last time but is upped only 2lb while Nicholas T, a runner-up in a bumper, made a winning start on the Flat when landing a maiden here over a mile. Burano is back on a winning mark and Gworn is 2lb lower than when scoring over track and trip last season.
