Billy Roberts won in this grade at Musselburgh a fortnight ago and should go well again despite a 6lb rise. Whitman had not been at his best in either start this year and steps up from 6f while Haraz has only been placed over 7f in maiden company recently. Timeless Art was well beaten over today’s trip at Chelsmford earlier though is still preferred to Haydock winner Flyboy but it’s DOUBLY MOTIVATED (NAP) that gets the vote. She was outmatched in the Cheshire Oaks last time but should figure dropping back down in class and distance and is one of a strong team Charlie Hills has sent to the meeting.
Whitman 12-1 (9-3) Close up, ridden 2f out, faded inside final furlong, 5th of 9, 9l behind Yattwee (9-4) at Newmarket 6f hcp (2) gf in May.

Flyboy (IRE) 7-1 (9-4) Behind, effort over 1f out, never dangerous, 8th of 14, 14l behind Defrocked (9-7) at Doncaster 1m hcp (4) gf in Jun.
