Annandale and Glasses Up, first and second last year, lock horns again. The winner is 12lb lower but has rather lost his way after a promising start to the campaign. The latter is a course specialist who would have every chance off this mark but he hasn’t won since July last year. El Picador has been edging up the weights without winning but this trip should prove ideal given he has won twice over an extended 1m4f at Musselburgh this season. Molinari’s form figures speak for themselves and Wor Willie is on a roll while this looks the type of race in which Fairmac should excel but he’ll have to break smartly to get a prominent position from stall 13. Polyphonic is worth another try over this sort of trip but AIMERIC is the least exposed and was biting off more than he could chew in the Melrose at York last month – this should be more to his liking.
