A cracking, select contest for a good purse in which the unexposed BOSTON GEORGE may make the most of the 10lb and upwards he receives all round, up to 13lb if the claim of his talented conditional is factored in. Not seen since mid-May when runner-up to a Haggas inmate at Wetherby. he's well regarded by connections and should have plenty more to come after three starts. The move up 1m should not be a concern. He faces tough, battle-hardened opponents though, with Nicholas T seeking a fifth course win, Crownthorpe not disgraced at York on Saturday and course and distance winners, Ventura Knight and Club Wexford gritty sorts who keep bouncing back for more. Danielsflyer would have a claim at his best too.
Ventura Knight (IRE) 20-1 (9-2) Mid-division, driven to chase leaders 2f out, soon ridden, went 3rd and kept on under pressure inside final furlong, no impression with front pair, 3rd of 12, 3l behind Military Law (8-8) at Newcastle 1m hcp (2) pol in Jun.
Danielsflyer (IRE) 10-1 (9-3) Held up towards rear, took keen hold, ridden over 2f out, never threatened leaders, 9th of 12, 3 1/4l behind Raydiance (9-2) at Redcar 7f hcp (3) gd in Jun.

Club Wexford (IRE) 9-2fav (9-10) Prominent, led over 5f out, headed over 2f out, soon rallied, faded final furlong, 5th of 16, 5 1/2l behind Rousayan (9-7) at Carlisle 1m hcp (4) gf in Jun.
Boston George (IRE) 8-1 (9-7) Chased leaders, took keen hold, effort over 3f out, every chance over 1f out, held by winner inside final furlong, kept on, 2nd of 11, 1 3/4l behind Destination (9-2) at Wetherby 7f stks (5) gs in May.
