Kodimoor prevailed in a dramatic finish at Beverley and those battling qualities should serve the gelding well in this follow-up attempt off a still feasible mark. Cliff Bay has performed consistently since joining the Dalgleish yard and also remains nicely treated off his current rating. He was close to following up a Carlisle success when only beaten a neck recently and is in great heart. Roaring Forties has a definite claim at his best and a course and distance win too but COLOUR CONTRAST gets the nod. Notoriously hard to win with, he needs holding up as late as possible but has a real shout if the cards fall right as Lewis Edmunds navigates his way through the field.
