Holiday Cocktail does not have to carry a penalty for his win over this trip in an apprentices' handicap last week so, off the same mark today, John Quinn's gelding gets the vote to follow up with the main threats rated as Annibale Caro and Chin Wag. The last mentioned ran better when upped to a furlong shorter than today here last week and could be of interest stepping up to 1m2f for the first time but Jim Goldie's gelding is far from certain to stay this far so he looks best watched. Michael Dods has been patient with Polish Corridor, who was off the track for three years prior to his return to action this term but that patience has yet to be rewarded and he is hard to back with confidence on recent efforts. Shy Glance is inconsistent and of more interest may be Grant Tuer's Annibale Caro, who has been in good form of late. He was beaten by Holiday Cocktail at Pontefract though and, on the same terms today, John Quinn's gelding is taken to confirm that form.
