Verdict

Bryan Smart's son of Dr Fong, Postman, is probably the pick of the newcomers here but this is likely to go to one of those with experience and Suruor has the pick of the form so far so he gets the vote with Mister Fantastic rated the pick of the remainder. The selection stepped up on his debut effort when chasing home Motor Home at Thirsk last month, should not be inconvenienced by the drop back to six furlongs and he looks the one they all have to beat. What A Fella ran better at Carlisle last time when not beaten far into fifth place but he is not certain to appreciate the step up from the minimum distance. Bella's Story has shown promise in both starts so far but does need to improve to trouble the selection, while a market move for Karl Burke's newcomer Chief Red Cloud would be of interest. Mister Fantastic ran encouragingly on his Carlisle debut and has to be of interest on a faster surface today that should suit. Mark Johnson's Suruor looks to be going the right way though and he is preferred.
