Another wide open affair but the main protagonists look to be The Rile, Tarbolton Moss and Wise Man and the vote goes to Tarbolton Moss. The 9-year-old won well last time out when defeating Commanche Quest at Kelso and although he is rising in the weights he won in the style of an improver and is taken to defy his penalty. The Rile is well-in on his best form but this free-going sort has never won over a trip this far and with this in mind he is worth taking on at the likely odds. Wise Man won his last two races in good style and defeated Strong Resolve last time but his best form has come on soft and heavy ground and with conditions likely to ride faster today he is worth opposing under top weight. Free To Run is game and consistent and looks to have decent place prospects, but Tarbolton Moss is in good form and gets the nomination.
