Len Lungo's Paddy The Piper is likely to be at short odds for this bumper and is difficult to oppose. A highly creditable third to the Paul Nicholls-trained Mister Wellard on his debut in what looked a decent race at Perth, the son of Witness Box tackles testing conditions for the first time here but they should not pose a problem and he can call the tune. Stablemate Jack Pot II, who makes his debut, may prove to be the biggest danger to the selection although Chris Grant's Baron Monty, a fair fifth to another Lungo inmate, Dobbiesgardenworld, at Newcastle on his debut has to be respected. Mary Reveley does well with her runners in this grade and it will not be surprise if Northern Rambler does better than when ninth in the same race at Newcastle as the Grant horse. The others make limited appeal.
