Verdict

Wetlands justified favouritism at Newcastle after landing the odds in a maiden here in December but faces no easy task giving 12lb to a couple of promising novices. Bass Rock has placed in all three starts over hurdles and has had wind surgery since last seen but TAMAR BRIDGE may have the greater scope. He wasn’t given a hard time on his hurdles bow at Wetherby but was only beaten four lengths and can only improve.
