Verdict

Multellie had to battle to hold off Teescomponents Lad at Carlisle and there is nothing between the pair on today’s terms. But the latter will probably be better suited by this slightly longer trip and can take his revenge. BABY TICKER loves it here and continued recent good form with a close-up third at Wetherby. She has never won off a mark this high but Theo Gillard claims a handy 5lb. Mayo Star was in good form over hurdles around this time last year and Grand Morning is back over the smaller obstacles on a decent mark having failed to take to chasing. Doncaster winner Dorking Boy has also looked happier back over timber and Corrieben Reiver trounced Ebony Jewel at Kelso to make it 2-2 over hurdles, though is 11lb higher here and has an extra half-mile to cover.
