In depth

Verdict

Another very moderate affair where SONARA might be good enough to win it, while Dauntsey Bay and Auberge are others to consider. The selection has to give weight away to all his opponents and should be spot on for this after a good effort over a similar trip at Musselburgh last time. The ground is also in his favour and his stamina can win the day. Dauntsey Bay has been going well over hurdles of late, making the frame twice at Catterick over staying trips. Although unlikely to be inconvenienced by conditions, he is probably better with some cut in the ground. Auberge races from the same mark as when a five-length second last time out and goes on a sound surface, so she is not dismissed lightly. There are stamina doubts over One Black Cat, but none over Fly Tipper, who might be able to show more now the ground is drying out and a market check is advised. Sonara is a tentative pick.
