        Verdict

        Official ratings point to Clear Impression, Clare Hills, Dixie Belle plus the Irish raider Free Roses in this race, with the vote going to Clear Impression. Having already been placed twice at this Listed level this season, Clear Impression holds solid claims here, and the drop to five furlongs today might even make her a little more competitive. Dixie Belle ran well at this level last time, when she was in front of Clare Hills but she had finished behind Clear Impression earlier on, and much as Free Roses only won a maiden last time, she looks to have plenty of speed is entitled to plenty of respect in this company. Finally, Clare Hills has also not fully built on her Hilary Needler win last season but might be capable of nabbing a place. That said, the one they all have to beat could well be Clear Impression.
