A very open race in which Treasured Memories gets the vote to win again at the main expense of Aberdare. The selection won well last time out at the track for jockey Clive Storey. He has gone up 7lbs in the weights for that win but he looks to be going the right way now judged by his reappearance run and with more to come after another mini-break, he gets the nod. Storm Prospect needs to be watched in the betting, along with fellow course winner Aberdare. The last-named is just out of the handicap but is a winner over this trip and shaped as if a return to winning ways may be near when running well at Kelso last time. Red Scally is not the most reliable of horses but cannot be ruled out, whilst Carrietau needs to perform better than of late. Treasured Memories then gets the nomination.
