      Verdict

      Harome has a shout but was due to run here yesterday while Venturous remains 6lb higher than when scoring at Redcar in May with MERRY BANTER behind. But the latter wasn’t disgraced in Listed company here subsequently and Paul Midgley’s mare is now back on a winning mark. Oriental Lilly has a poor strike rate and is fitted with headgear. She’s preferred to stablemate and handicap newcomer Sound Of Iona while both the Irish challenger Evasive Power and Arecibo look high enough in the weights.
