      Verdict

      Scenic Pass holds Doric Echo on their clash last time and the form looks solid so both need respect, however ACCLABEN ran ok last time on his nursery debut and can reward backers here. Alan Swinbank has his horses in fair form and it is interesting that his charge drops back from a mile today. The ground is an unknown but if he handles then it he could go well, getting plenty of weight from the top two in the handicap. Both of those need respect, with Scenic Pass a proven winner on soft ground and the stable won this last year with Carrickmacross. Doric Echo took longer to warm to his task last time but that was his first try on ground softer than good and he should go very close. Drachenfels hasn't shown enough to make him of interest, whilst Artesium, Scarlets and Danderdan need watching in the betting on their handicap debuts. A tricky nursery but preference is for Acclaben.
