Kingfisher Lane did win a handicap at Downpatrick last spring and was fourth here in November but lacks the scope of Glen Cannel, also penalised for landing a maiden at Market Rasen, and SALADAM. The latter has come up against a couple of useful novices in placing twice at Uttoxeter and this looks a bit easier. Monochromix was a fair third here on his hurdling debut and is not out of this either.
