The Len Lungo-trained The Rile, a winner on this card last season, has plenty going for him today and is preferred as the selection over Chevalier errant, Lauderdale and Luzcadou, who has sound claims but is not the most consistent horse to follow over fences. The can be said of Deep Water, who has yet shine after two modest efforts this term. So The Rile, who is as yet unbeaten over fences, looks the most reliable sort to carry our hopes as he is the least exposed of the bunch and can go on to better things from here.
