Another valuable and competitive contest with several possibles but Scott's View is given the TEAMtalk vote. Mark Johnston's charge has proved admirably durable in rattling up seven wins this term and may not have stopped improving yet judged on his latest success when dead-heating with Muhareb at York earlier in the month. The selection has been raised 5lb since and is also 1lb worse off with his old adversary but had to overcome trouble in running and looked unlucky not to have won outright so looks worth following again. Dune is another progressive type and comes here in top form having scored over 1m6f at Haydock earlier in the month but may not be entirely suited by the drop in trip and also has to overcome a poor draw so looks opposable while Solo Flight may struggle to follow up a narrow Newbury success off his revised mark. Afadan looks in the handicapper's grip at present while Contraband has clearly been difficult to train and has failed to recapture his best so Charley Bates could prove a bigger danger. John Gosden's charge ran too freely when a beaten favourite for the Ebor but bounced back to form with a creditable third in a Longchamp Group 3 last time and should give a good account on a track that should suit.
