Spell Caster gets the vote in a competitive contest in which Artistic License and Eastern Romance are also respected. This 2-year-old filly could not have been any more impressive on her racecourse debut when she beat a big field at Chepstow. If she can build on that then she should take plenty of beating here and she looks the logical choice. Eastern Romance was an easy winner at Beverely last time when she beat John Terry. She will go on the ground but she has not been the most consistent this season and there is a worry over her ability to reproduce what she showed last time out. Artistic License won on her debut at Folkestone but that looked quite an average maiden and she will need to improve to make her mark in this company today. Reel Gift has been fancied on each of her last two starts and she did run well in defeat last time out. She should not be written off just yet, while Sophies Girl is another that has to enter calculations. With all this in mind we will stick with Spell Caster to lead them home.
