Go Bananas is just a tentative choice in a wide-open nursery, with the likes of Mandobi, Bentley's Ball and Zweibrucken others in with a shout. Pat Eddery was on board for the first time when Go Bananas beat a big field at Doncaster two weeks ago, and is fancied to follow up here. The ground and trip will be in his favour, but with plenty of other winners in the line-up, he will have to be at his best here, that is for sure. Bentley's Ball actually finished in front of the selection at Newmarket the time before last and is now seven pound better off, so will be fancied to confirm the form. However, Go Bananas has improved since and should just about turn the tables on Hannon's charge. Mandobi has topweight, but only went down by the narrowest of margins at York so should play a part, while Zweibrucken stayed on dourly when winning at Sandown, but the ground was on the soft side that day. Hatch is improving with each race and looks sure to lose his maiden tag before the season is out, but for the winner we return to Go Bananas to beat a host of in-form rivals.
