Activial looked a bit ring-rusty at Doncaster last month but gradually warmed to his task and stayed in into third ahead of West Approach. PRESENT MAN (NAP) won one of these at Chepstow at the start of the season and almost certainly needed the run when well behind Singlefarmpayment and West Approach at Newbury at the start of the month. He may take some catching here if Bryony Frost can get him into a rhythm. Gala Ball is best over 2m4f but Royal Vacation and Crosspark are thorough stayers with the latter suffering a rare off-day in the Eider at Newcastle last month.
