STORYLAND, Spring Jim and Record Breaker are the three that we like the look of here with Milczarek's mount preferred. The selection progressed well last season but appears to have reached a ceiling this term. However, the form figures don't tell the whole story as she has enjoyed little luck in running and is better than the bare form suggests. She needs to be delivered late and hasn't really had a race run to suit thus far but this one should be. Spring Jim has been running well all season and deserves plenty of credit for his fourth in the Old Newton Cup. He was given plenty to do on that occasion and did really well to make up the amount of ground that he did; he can be rated better than the bare form and has leading claims. Munsef finished second at Haydock so has to enter calculations as does Mystery Star who was constantly denied a run in the same race but Record Breaker may pose a bigger threat. His run in the Northumberland Plate can be ignored but he went close over course and distance at the Royal Meeting prior to that and has generally been in good form. Hevelius isn't ruled out but didn't overly impress with his head carriage last time whilst Sabotage is yet another to bear in mind but Storyland is taken to weave her way through the field and take the spoils.
