Some top yards are represented but a chance is taken with POPPET'S LOVEIN; Mezenah and Tinaar could rate the dangers. Andy Haynes is a young trainer making a name for himself and this filly belied a starting price of 50-1 to chase home a potential Pattern race performer in Applause at Windsor. She's a half-sister to Hungarian superstar sprinter Overdose and appears to share plenty of his ability and may be able to provide her trainer with a winner on a big stage. Mezenah is the one to beat and sets a very good standard; she made a pleasing debut behind July Jasmine, was a little disappointing behind Bombina before beating all bar Sariska on her final start. She may be flattered by that as a handicap mark of 79 suggests but she should be up to winning a maiden. Tinaar showed some promise over ten furlongs at Newmarket and should cope with the drop back in trip; she was well supported in the market on that occasion and should improve. Sterling Sound has form claims but is difficult to recommend given the season that the yard has endured so we'll opt for Poppet's Lovein.
