Verdict

A good race on paper and ENACT is our idea of the winner with Gilt Edge Girl and Global City worthy of inclusion on our shortlist. The filly seems equally at home on fast ground as on soft so the going won't be an issue and six furlongs on this galloping course appears ideal. Gilt Edge Girl is very much on the upgrade. The assessor thumped her for a Windsor victory so we should not to be too harsh about her effort under top weight at Haydock. Global City ran respectably enough at Yarmouth in a Conditions event and could finally be coming to hand. Servoca was a silly price in a Doncaster cavalry charge and his fifth was his best effort of the season thus far. Brenin Taran steps up in grade having bullied weaker opposition at will in lesser company. Thunderous Mood was well supported at Bath and the removal of the tonguestrap that he wore at York probably made much of the difference. Macdillon hails from an unfashionable yard but his place in this line up is very much on merit. Bonnie Charlie was a very useful juvenile though this gave the assessor little option but to place him in three figures. He may just need to come down a little bit further in the handicap before his presence is felt. Plenty of plausible chances though Enact could be just a little bit better than this class.
