It can pay to focus on the head of the weights here and PROHIBIT gets our vote ahead of Hamish McGonagall, Rowe Park and Monsieur Joe. Drawn in 21, our selection should have plenty of pace to chase and looked a tad unfortunate here last time. He's up a pound but that should be negated by the bigger field which will suit and the return of 5lb claimer John Fahy is considered a positive move, as he rode the horse well at Windsor earlier this term. He appeals as the type to win a race like this one and our hope is today's the day. Rowe Park and Monsieur Joe filled the places ahead of Prohibit last time, but the former is up 3lbs and had run of the race that day. If his low draw turns out to be a positive he could confirm the form but our inclination is to side with Prohibit, while Monsieur Joe is drawn in the middle and has little experience of big-field handicaps so is just opposed. Hamish McGonagall ran well in Group Three company at Sandown and is expected to confirm previous form with Ziggy Lee despite these worse terms, in the process running his usual solid race. Fol Hollow is speedy and can be tough to peg back if able to secure a lead but with plenty of pace on he may serve only to set the race up for a closer, Solemn hasn't been harshly penalised for a run of seconds but this is a much more competitive contest while Rapid Water is bred to be better than his rating and the first-time visor could help him demonstrate that point. Prohibit gets our vote to win this competitive closer.
