Verdict

Waldmark is likely to be at short odds to take this listed race but is difficult to oppose and gets the verdict over German an raider Pearl Queen and the capable, but frustrating, Londonnetdotcom. The last mentioned has plenty of ability and is entitled to play a part in the finish if able to reproduce her best form which is over this trip. However, Mick Channon's filly is not the most reliable of customers and is hardly a betting proposition. In any case, she is held by Geoff Wragg's Miss Ivanhoe on running in similar company at Sandown last time in a race won by Sir Michael Stoute's Favourable Terms and we think the Newmarket handler may again hold the key. Waldmark failed to stay the 1m4f trip in the Vodafone Oaks two starts ago but ran much better when returned to a mile at Newmarket last time when finding just the progressive Macadamia too good in the Falmouth Stakes. A reproduction of that effort may suffice for her. Andreas Lowe's has claims on her third in the Princess Elizabeth Stakes (Londonnetdotcom finished second) and is another to consider along with the lightly raced trio of Irtahal, Uraib and Soldera. However, Waldmark sets a fair standard and should be difficult to beat.
